英語を自信を持って話そう！

先日国際交流パーティーに行ってみました。外国の方が４人ぐらい、後日本人が２０人ぐらいだったったような気がします。

英語を話すのってちょっと恥ずかしいですね。日本人同士でも英語で話してみましたが、すぐに日本語に切り替わってしまったり。（笑）まぁ、言葉はコミュニケーションツールなので、日本語でも英語でもコミュニケーションがとれればどちらでもいいんでしょうね。

感じたのが、場慣れしてないというか、あまり英語を普段話す機会がない人が多いと言う事。
英語が話せるのに、なかなか出て来なかったり...。
私の英語は間違えだらけですが、自信を持って話すおかげ？で、ネイティブスピーカーにも理解してもらえています。発音が少々まずくても自信を持って話す。文法の間違いを気にせず一気にリズムを付けて話す。ネイティブスピーカーなら間違いをそんなに気にせず、分かってくれます。自信を持って話すにはどうしたらいいのか？

"One can do quite well in second language acquisition without living in the country in which the language is spoken and without formal instruction. The crucial variables appear to be comprehensible input and having a good positive relationship with speakers of the language.

To summarize Dr. Krashen's keys to learning excellent speaking:

1. Easy Input (understandable, comprehensible).. especially listening.
2. Low or No Stress (nervousness, worry, shyness) and Strong Positive Emotions about the Language.
3. Club Membership (feeling a part of a group that uses the language, a positive identity with the language).
